These are my specs currently:

I5-2500 & Gigabyte P67A-UD3R-B3
Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti 1GB
FSP raider 550w
Kingstom ValueRam DDR3-1333 CL9 4GB x 2

Have a Budget of around 500. Looking to upgrade the graphic card but unsure which to go for. Preferably a nvidia card and be able to last the next 3 years. Currently looking at GTX 970 but am concern if there would be any bottleneck issues.

Should I go for the 970, any recommendations on manufacturers and versions of the card?

Thanks!

No bottleneck. Your i5 2500 can even run GTX980 or R9 290X without bottleneck issue.

Get the cheapest with 3rd party cooler since the performance between all brands are almost the same.

Get MSI or ASUS if you don't want hassle during warranty exchange.
