Which graphics card?

just wondering which graphics card i should go for:


-sapphire r9 280x 3GB ddr5 PC vapour x

-Gigabyte radeonr9 280x OC version windforce

If warranty is an issue then get the Giga variant.

2years vs 3 years.

Take note that the Sapphire variant takes up to 2.5 slots instead of 2 slots for the Giga variant.

Giga has a higher base clock also.

But in terms of quietness of the card i would say the Sapphire wins in this.

In terms of performance which should i go for?

Giga with slightly higher base clock.

And with slightly better cooler than the Sapphire. Can consider MSI also

MSI. For a much silent card and also the gaming theme that attracts me most.

And for RMA it is much convenient for me as i stay near the distro.

Giga will have a slight advantage over MSI. If you really want even higher performance go for Asus dcuii or the sapphire toxic oc.

I remember reading somewhere that among the 280x in the market Gigabyte has the lowest phase, therefore there is not much room for overclocking further from what it is.

Just get whichever you prefer. It is coming out from the same chip performance. Just different cooler used. Some cards may be able to overclock better than the others.

But for just pure stock go for giga will do. They wont differ in terms of heaven and hell performance.
