Which Graphics Card?

Hi,

My PC specs are as below, I need some help deciding on either the Asus GTX 780 or the Asus R9 290x. I know the R9 tends to run hotter and louder but that doesn't really bother me. Also I plan to run SLI or x-fire in future. Any advise?

Case: Corsair 600T
CPU: Intel i7-4770K
Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero
RAM: 2x 8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133Mhz CL9
PSU: Corsair RM850
