Which hardware should i upgrade?

I have been using this PC for heavy gaming (med to high settings), multimedia and video editing.

This is my specs, what should i upgrade? any recommendation and budget currently i put it at 1k if needed to increase i will increase it.

i7-2600k 3.40GHz with Corsair H60
ASRock Z68 extreme 4 mobo
2 x 4GB Kingston value RAM
Palit GTX580
Samsung F1 1TB x2
FSP Aurum CM650 80Plus Gold
Cooler Master Enforcer

I'm thinking of getting a R9 290 but i need to wait for the Non-reference, as for SSD ya planning to get a 256gb. Im wondering is my Sandybridge 2600k still powerful enough or not and im quite tempted to change to haswell for better performance

Ur system still quite good..can consider a 290x or gtx780ti and a ssd

If want to change to haswell, need change cpu+mobo... which may cost a lot if you are aiming for i7 k series and z87 mobo..

If you have a CPU bottleneck, just overclock the CPU.

However, the Z77 Extreme 4 is not renown for having high quality mosfets, so don't go crazy with the voltages.

I thought of this too but still considering to change to Haswell, i don't mind spending $ to upgrade but i just duno what to do with the old parts maybe make into HTPC?

How do i know i'm having bottleneck? imho i don't find overclocking improve the performance significantly. I'm still using Z68 extreme 4 fyi.
