Which iPhone are you getting?

128gb gold 5.5 is the most wanted in china now. They won't even take a 2nd look at the 4.7 or 5.5 other color.

May I know where u get this info?

i heard from friend that if you put 5.5 or higher smartphone in your pocket u sit down may have issue, e.g u need to remove big phone out in ur pocket. However 4.7 no issue.

I did a model of it and tried. That was one of my primary concern too. No problem leh it seems.

I'll be getting the iPhone 6+.

May skip this upgrade. Prefer the 4.7 but really unhappy that optical image stabilisation is not included. I shoot lots of photos on my phone and this feature would be great, but not prepared to carry a giant Cadbury chocolate bar just so I can get ois.

i had a brief hands-on with both sizes. in the end if i were to buy one, i would take the 4.7" over the 5.5", as the phone is rather slippery due to the smooth aluminum surface and i wouldn't want to buy any casing to take away the sleekness of the phone.

I don't know. I am one of those who left iphone because of the small tiny screen. I'm still hooked into the apple ecosystem as I have my iPad Air, iPod touch, Apple TV and iTunes.

But phone wise I've had nothing but Android these past few years with their bigger screens, swipe keyboards, optical stabilization etc.. I've got so used to Android that I'm thinking what has apple introduced this time in iphone 6 that android doesn't have? That's right. Nothing

But I change phones every month so what the heck...I'll probably buy the iphone 6 for the fun of it

Ha - no way that is happening...its just like apple saying "We will never build a 5.5 inch screen, or we will never build an iWatch."

I might get either the iPhone 6 128gb or 6+ 128gb. Or...

A few considerations...

1. Will the 6/6+ be a marked improvement over my current HTC One M8? If not, then it's not really worth it to pay more than $1K for a new phone when my One M8 is serving me quite well(although there are some frustrations I have with it). Got my One M8 with my line this year, so if I get a new phone, I needa get it off-contract.

2. 6 or 6 Plus?
I like one-handed usability, but the 6 Plus has much better battery life and functionality.

3. Wait for iPhone 6S/6S+ or even iPhone 7? Cos the next time I can recontract is in year 2016, year of iPhone 7. Can I wait until then?

From what I hear, the 4.7 has digital image stabilization. And OIS is more for videos. I think. So unless you are doing sports photography, I think the 4.7 will be fine. Well, at least that's what I am hoping.

No, if u check the specs sheet, OIS is meant for photography. There's another feature - cinematic video stabilisation - which is meant for video shooting and is available on both the 4.7 and 5.5.

If you are not getting blurry pictures with 5/5s, you will be fine with the 6. They are using the same digital IS.

From my experience with note 3, it is actually harder to have a steady shot compared to S4 and iphone 5s, due to the bigger size. That's when the OIS will come in handy with bigger phones I feel.

With 6+ being even thinner, my guess is its even harder to hold it steady esp. in landscape mode.

My further readings from various articles conclude that OIS is more for videography? It may benefit slightly if you often take photos in low light condition. But the iPhone itself doesn't have an aperture control so it's rather moot to shoot in low light anyway.

Under normal circumstances, the digital OIS in iPhone 6 should be more than sufficient. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, but I actually all along wanted an iPhone as I prefer iOS and I have invested more into the iOS ecosystem due to previously owning an iPad 3 and currently an iPad Air. I also am using a MacBook Pro Retina as my computer. So getting an iPhone would mean tight integration between my phone, tablet and Mac. I have purchased many tablet apps and games for my iPad and if I get an iPhone, I would be getting the phone version of the apps for free.

The reason I haven't gotten an iPhone all these years is because the screen size is simply too small for me, but the 6/6+ has fixed that

I would prefer the 4.7 inch due to the ability to use with one hand easily, I think the 5.5 inch is way too huge for me to use it easily and its heavier too (43 grams more).
However the specs of the 5.5 inch is tempting... I would like to have the OIS, 1080p display, and a better battery life. But I don't need such a large screen as I have an iPad Air that serves me well when I'm doing work on.
Now I'm in a dilemma on which to get. Either get the 4.7 inch and miss out the great specs, or get the 5.5 inch and suffer because I cannot use it comfortably.
Any suggestions on which I should get?

If you want 4.7" to have those features of 6+. Then has to wait another year, they have 6s... This what Apple usually do.. Upgrade little by little every year same.

I'm considering not pre-ordering then go to Singtel shop to try the phone out before deciding. But seeing how popular the iPhone 6 is, I'm afraid I will have to wait for many weeks before being able to buy it if I don't preorder

My contract renewal is Nov. So no need rush, long queue, kan chiong... Take my time browse for nice 6+ case first.. Haha

Wait no more, can choose either one...!!
I don't own iPad cause no phone function. I hate to bring two devices out... So I had been long waiting for 5.5", I ever bought a Tab 2 because there's phone function. But this darm kimchi device bloody suck... Will never buy a kimchi product anymore...
