which is better - dropbox or ext hdd ?

i need to backup a few hundreds GB of data regularly. is it better to use external hdd or dropbox/google drive ? what are the pros & cons?

I use both in fact. Cloud for small files, ext hdd for larger file n a nas for overall backup. Cloud wise, ur con is speed if u do not have fast internet. EXT HDD, if hdd is spoilt, data recovery, a few K at least. Nas if dual hdd config in raid 1, should b ok. Hope this helps

few hundreds GB.. may be good to get an skydrive or box or Google Drive..Dropbox price can go quite high.. end of the day it may be worthwhile to invest in a NAS if the volume is really hundreds of GB and going up..:)
