The first is the MSI GS70 2QE STEALTH PRO,
Specs:
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX970 2GB GDDR5
CPU: Intel Core i7-4710HQ Sharkbay
Ram:16GB
Memory: Raid 0 256GB SSD (128GB*2 SSD mSATA3)+1TB (SATA) 7200rpm (2x 128GB ssd in raid 0 & another 1tb hdd)
Network card: Killer™ DoubleShot Pro 11ac (2x2 802.11 ac) & LAN +BT4.0

The second one, an aftershock custom laptop I built.

Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 980M GTX 4GB GDDR5
CPU: Intel i7-4710 HQ
RAM: 16GB DDR3L 1600MHZ (8gbx2)
Memory : 256GB Samsung XP941 M.2 PCIE SSD and 1TB 7200RPM HDD
Network Card: Killer 1525 AC WIFI+BT4.1

The main difference is the graphics card & the memory. I am looking for the faster one in terms of gaming. Please advice. Thanks!

if you want faster one then ofc your 980m will win..
But in terms of weight msi will beat aftershock hands down. depends on what you need.

if youre gonna spend that amount i'd advise you get the aorus x7 pro with dual 970m gpus that one for sure better performance than those 2 laptops youve mentioned.

Aftersales services by the service centre should also be one point of concern beside considering over weight and performance. :)

For the aftershock one, it's around 2.7kg and the MSI is around 2.66 KG. I have checked the aorus x7 pro, sick rig am considering but the downsides are 2 of the USB ports are at the back & it's 3KG. Do you have any recommendation? Am looking for a 970m/980m card with a good processor, light and when battery saving mode is turned on, the battery can really last + 15" if possible.

If its possible, try to play games on these laptops, even just for 5 mins, I think you should highly consider the temp and the noise especially for these ultraportable gaming laptops which are known to suffer on these issues..

aftershock is 15inch cant really compare the weight as msi gs70 and aorus are 17 inch models. if you want a light gaming 15inch laptop can go for gigabyte p35x v3 980m gpu or msi gs60 ghost pro 2qe with 970m gpu. gs 60 is about 1.96kg gigabyte is around 2.16 kg but has a dvd drive hard to find in slim laptops nowadays. and if i'm not wrong the p35x is the lightest and slimmest laptop around that can house the 980m gpu inside.

the 2usb ports for aorus at the back mainly are for mouse and keyboard. those kind where u plug in and leave it tthere. some people dont like ports at the side as it affects them using their peripherals such as side speakers or usb thumbdrive etc.

Alright, I'll slowly consider which to choose. Thanks! :)
