Which laptop to choose?

Hi all,

I am given an option to choose one of the following models for work . Which one should i choose?

1. Acer Swift Go 14 with intel i5-13500H, 16gb ram LPDDR5

2. Lenovo Think pad L13 Gen 3 with intel i5-1235u, 16gb ram ddr4

3. Acer Swift 14 with intel i5-13500H, 16gb ram LPDDR5

4. Lenovo think pad x1 carbon gen 10, intel i5-1235u and 16gb ram LPDDR4x

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Choose number 2. Laptop 1, 3 and 4 are soldered RAM.

For me, definitely the X1 Carbon. Light and highest quality parts amongst the 4.

X1C's are assigned to C-suite folks for a reason.

Even though I have a X13 Gen 2, I still prefer using my old Intel 8th Gen Carbon.

I am particular to high quality screen panels, a better build quality, and other amenities like glass trackpad, better speaker quality etc. These are things you will notice day to day and it makes a difference. Also, X1c is definitely ligher than the L series. Based on a quick Google, the Acer Go is about 1.32kg, L13 Gen 3 starts at 1.26kg, but the X1 is 1.12kg. Should be very noticeable if you commute by public transport.

I can't speak for the Acers, but generally I haven't had too good long-term usage with Acers in the past. I would usually choose a T/P over a L series (although the L series has upgradeable RAM), but if an X1c is an option. even if it's one generation older, I'd definitely go with the X1.

Thanks! Yes weight is one main consideration that I am looking at. The other factor would be battery life since I do need to do presentations on the move, hence having a reasonable good batt life would be wonderful.

Either 2 or 4.

I'm using no 2 now.... and it's GREAT.... performance wise is also good.
