Am deciding between the below 2 laptops and would like to seek more opinions please.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7570)
http://www.dell.com/sg/p/inspiron-1...7855104sgw10&model_id=inspiron-15-7570-laptop

HP Pavilion 15 (Ck039tx)
http://h20386.www2.hp.com/SingaporeStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=ECC_BUNDLE_6606264&opt=&sel=NTB

Both are at the same price point of $1699.

I'm leaning more towards the HP one as there's 2 years warranty and has all the specs I need.

Concern are:
Will upcoming IT show in a month or so have any difference in price?

Is getting from Harvey Norman or Best Denki the right places to buy? Or should I further explore Amazon or Q10 or other places?

Build/brand/spec wise?

1.Maybe (how much have to wait till den.
2.This you will need to do your own search abit.
3.not sure if HP have fixed it's bug or not. But specs wise it's definitely better than dell. (1 less USB port though.)

DELL have better reliability.

HP graphic card better. The website you linked Dell = 1,899, HP = 1,699? That is quite a price difference. Think now there is 100 dollar off all HP laptop for February. You may want to check it out.

I think IT show prices should not differ too much. And too much choices would only confuse you further. You can check at harvey/best/gain city what is the best price they can offer. I don't really like Amazon/Q10 for these sorta products cause the warranty/reliability/reputation is always an issue. And any potential return is a nightmare.

Dell/HP both have improved their reliability/reputation these few years per my workplace observation and talk with sales staff from Challenger/Gain City/Newstead. What drive me to get HP over Asus/Aftershock/Dell is the on-site warranty.

Have you go down to test the laptop/ have a feel of the keypad and check out the laptop overall rigidity/durability? Spec may be one thing, but I feel design is equally important, especially cooling system.

I just got my new laptop over the weekend. You may want to check my thread out. (http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/g...nt-laptop-toshiba-satellite-p755-5768004.html)

HP? Depends....so far around 4~5 hours usage --> 100% drop to 20~30%. I usually plug charger in around that level.

I guess should be able to last 6~8 hours depending on your setting and what you are running.
