At just S$2.99 a month, prime sg gives you free international delivery above S$60 spent. That way you can save on the shipping charges. And to be fair, $185 for this nvme it's pretty decent but still worth a wait to see if black Friday has a better deal

Which one is worth getting?
I already have a normal 1tb ssd for storage, so this m2 will be for os/prefetch/scratch file etc. I don't think i need alot storage space.

Is there a price list at the bottom of each SSD?
I had a hard time trying to figure out the pricing.
Samsung is darn reliable though but as for others I have not experience.

I see it makes sense.
I spend 2.99 SGD to get prime to save on the potential 10+SGD shipment charges.
Totally worth it, but a pity I have no idea what else to get besides hooting a SSD.
Perhaps a RTX 30?

I believe so. Nevertheless amazon.sg still offers a rather wide selection of items even from amazon US. The 2.99 is worth it imo

If I have m.2 sata & i buy m.2 nvme but i keep the sata as windows drive, any issues apart frm the speed loss?

Im thinking that apart frm transfer speed, diff in performance bw sata & nvme for normal usage is nt that much so I might just keep the windows on sata & install stuffs on nvme

That's fine. I'm using a SATA SSD for OS. System boots up slightly slower and a tad less responsive but otherwise OK.

think someone also mention in the adata thread that despite the change in the controller, the reading and writing speed is still good considering the price point. maybe someone can advise on this?

Did they mention about xpg spectrix s40g?
Both are similar in price and I believe they are essentially the same product.
Perhaps the RGB ver isn't affected.
Uh my bad the RGB is using Realtek controller while the Pro is using SM controller.
It seems the Realtek base SSD is slower but essential both are price the same.

Magician software is really clean looking and good.
I do get firmware updates once in awhile.
I feel it is a good buy for a 1TB.
2TB it seems a bit too expensive to purchase it locally.

Windows sometimes isn't detecting and it is making funny clicking noises.
Does anyone has a good HDD to recommend?

I ordered from aftershock m.2 nvme 512gb Samsung ssd R: 3500 | W: 2900. For the same price i can have m.2 nvme klevv 1tb R: 2600 | W: 1650.

I already have a less than half filled 1tb ssd (sata) which i will use for data storage. I use this pc for photoshop, indesign, illustrator, premiere Pro, 3d games, ms office and surf net. OS and Adobe scratch disk will likely use the new m.2 nvme ssd.

Which ssd between the 2 should i get?

well that means your hdd is gonna die soon (mentioned symptoms is very clear on it status)

and right now u got 3 hdd player in the market and last player will be WD, and i think u can consider getting their Black series.

as for toshiba OTW means?

3TB HDDs have quite a high failure rate IIRC from Backblaze's previous reports. Suggest you get 4TB instead.

Seagate Barracuda or Ironwolf or WD Blue, any of these should be fine.
