MBA is very useful only if it comes tier 1 business school... I dont deny experience counts... but from what school also.... but these schools is simply out of reach for normal ppl... as if the rich is making the school more richer like fees starting at 60k?!:(.... so sad...... :(

60K is actually considred cheap for a MBA....

it can probably only get u into 2nd tier schools like NUS/SMU Etc

2nd tier?... what is the point?... I have colleagues are grads from 2nd Tier and they are not really going anywhere.... You are already paying so much...Just pay a little more.....if you can pass the application...consider INSEAD MBA is around 90k, SMU Wharton is 59K,

Btw SMU Wharton is at Tier 1... I would pay more for a Tier 1
I have come across a lot of high level management positions that will only consider Tier 1 Business school grads... :(

I'm not so sure that the SMU MBA is considered Tier-1, as it still has yet to prove itself.

Also, I'm not too sure if hiring managers view SMU MBA as a SMU-Wharton MBA. From my understanding, the MBA has not been marketed this way, and may mislead potential MBA
seekers to think that it really is a Wharton School MBA. On your testamur, it would not say Singapore Management University / Wharton School of Business MBA.

University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business has their own MBA (Tier-1).

PCW+1, this isn't the best lol yet I assure you...

I have friends who graduated from SIM-UOL (with a non-honours Pass Degree only), and go about proclaiming to potential recruiters that they graduated from the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE)!

I think the HR Managers will asked to be excused halfway through the interview, go to the pantry and have a good laugh.

University of London is the main umbrella, underneath there is the world prestigous London Business School, which challenges top 5 US Business Schools consistently. As far as I know, London School of Economics used to be a division of London Business School but sort of "spinned off" at some point. Now the latter is running on high autonomy.

The Chicago Booth School of Business EMBA is arguably one of the best in the world in terms of reputation and has an absolutely stringent admission criteria. It also comes with a hefty 185k SGD price tag, exclusive of GST.
