Thanks for the advise. Yup i totally agree with u.
Either way, it is not easy at all to enter Insead plus taking 10 months just to study and price tag is really no joke.
if you get into BBM, the associate's base comp is at least 5 figures..

gmat is a hygiene factor, once you get above a certain min score, any higher doesn't really matter

I graduated with a Degree in Chemical Engineering without any honors, with 4 years working experience and currently a Regional Engineering Manager in a MNC.
Looking at a MBA to further my career; however without honor, what are my chances of entering into a MBA program in either NTU or NUS? even with a decent GMAT score?
Are good honors or even honor, a deal breaker in MBA admission? Thanks.
I have a bachelors in science degree and currently working along sales & marketing for a food ingredient MNC. If I am looking to pursue towards the direction of business development (taking into consideration my qualification is a science degree) to climb the corporate ladder, should I be heading towards MBA direction?
Also, sometimes I see advertisement they advertise their Masters courses at only 9 months and you can complete it. How about those Kaplan of 15 months?
I think MBA will be a good addition for you.
Will your MNC company sponsor you for the programme?
If yes, it will be great, that means they are willing to invest in you and plans to move you up the ladder. If no, then you have to reconsider on taking mba, there may not be plan to raise you even after your mba.
Alternatively, you can think about career change after the MBA.
You should look at the returns on investment for the MBA programme or at the very least go for a MBA that is ranked on global charts like FT.

The MBAs ranked and have a local programme here is,
Lancaster MBA at SAA Global
Manchester MBA at Manchester Business School
Strathclyde MBA at YMCA
Birmingham MBA at SIMGE
And NUS, NTU and INSEAD.
Alternatively, you can consider Aalto EMBA, SMU EMBA, Rutgers EMBA which have a place in another chart, the EMBA chart. These three also have local programmes here.

I think the best MBA programs are still in the states. Quit your job and just do it. It's worth the investment. Trust me coz I did it.
If you want to stay in SG, quit your job and go Insead. If you have financial commitment, then do a part time at NUS.
That's all. Other schools are ********. Really.
Hi HBK,Hi Tomfanatic,
Can you explain why it's worth the investment? I'm also having dilemma on MBA.
TIA
Hi,
I am currently based in Singapore and having 11 yrs exp in engineering (Oil & Gas). I am interested in MBA at Strathclyde. I am also considering Hull MBA. Is it worth doing comparing with Strathclyde?? I mean to say about recognition. In this forum anybody hardly talking about Hull MBA. So I am bit sceptical about that. Please advice.
