Thanks for the advice. NUS, NTU, SMU cost SGD65k. Its definitely better, but currently I don't think I can commit to that.

There are student loans and they may also give you a scholarship to offset some of the fees (not kidding, check out their websites).

Don't just focus on the fees, look at the career outcomes as well.

I am currently a Strathclyde MBA student, if anything you would like to ask, feel free to PM me
Hi bro, I'm still a new user here. Can't PM yet. Can share more with me?

What were your considerations when you selected The Strathclyde MBA?
Thanks!

I added the cost I surveyed. I was looking at University of Bradford by MDIS, but apparently no longer offered in SG. I did consider online but feel like F2F better.

Strathclyde YMCA SGD40k
Birmingham SIM SGD33k
University of Sunderland MDIS SGD23K
University of Northumbria KAPLAN SGD23K
Have you considered these 3 as well?
I've just came across them wondered if anyone have considered them as well.

1. Master of Global Business
S P JAIN SCHOOL OF GLOBAL MANAGEMENT SINGAPORE

2. Master in International Business (MIB)
GRENOBLE ECOLE DE MANAGEMENT

3. Concordia University Chicago MBA
LONDON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND FINANCE (LSBF) SINGAPORE

Anyone has any opinion on Rutgers EMBA in terms of branding, recognition and quality in general?

I spoke to them recently and pretty impressed by the rigorous curriculum and face time of 36 hours per module which is quite a lot more than the usual part-time EMBA. Most modules requires projects and group work which can only be good.

Seeking opinion on its value and brand value.

$75k for the program..

i think there's other more reputable brands for that price range

So which one in your opinion? Manchester? Can't compare because they aren't exactly an EMBA. Curious to hear from you which one comes close.

i think if you're going to get an EMBA, aim for NUS, NTU or the ESSEC & Mannheim program. They're all about $80k~$100k

http://executive-education.essec.edu/en/program/embas-en/emba-asia-pacific-en/

Slightly more expensive than Rutgers, but 'ranked' higher. Won't touch on ranking for nus and ntu since it's mentioned quite abit on their website.

but the ESSEC program is quite interesting. it can be done in SG, it's ranked 17th by economist. that's higher than Cornell, Imperial College, NUS, and UCLA. Rutgers is on that list, at 40+++

https://www.economist.com/whichmba/executive-mba-ranking/2018

as someone who has graduate from a US uni, i can tell u Rutgers's overall reputation is 'just another state school'. its not really a brand or name employers will stop to look at. iirc, Rutgers biz school is not even ranked in the top 30 in the US.

i wouldn't be paying $75k for a Rutgers paper, heck, i think the normal Imperial online MBA which is the same amount would have better brand leverage. you should really do some research on Rutgers itself and decide. you're going to be investing alot of time and money into this.

Love the methodology, increase in salary after 1 or 2 yrs. Don’t most increase? 3% also increase.

These methodology vary so much, take these “bible” with a pinch of salt. eMBA IMHO really about networking to go VP level. If one not at least senior manager or junior director and looking for paper to see management rough.

Great eMBA not cheap, cheap ones not great

Hello, I have not experienced other MBA programmes. However, you could drop me a PM and ask about the course in Strathclyde. I'll be more than happy to share with you. I have just finished 2 semesters and 2 more to go. Thank you.

Hi Leerwin

Thank you for being sharing on your experience
With Strathclyde. Like to ask the following:

1) what is the average class size?
2) age and demographic of the students?
3) how is the support given by the Singapore centre? Not sure if you have taken elective in other centres yet, how is their support?

Thank you:)
