I think for MBA or even B schools, SaaS/ SCRUM/ AGILE are leading terms. Proven ideas/models which work. There are other industry picking up agile. And they do not embrace interesting ideas and solutions, they mainly want to hear what they like.

The shocking point I'm arriving at is most of them are out of touch. Some are former directors and are not open to unconventional ideas. They nitpick on small issue which is non existent and were actually properly addressed instead of debating the core issue, eg the solution I proposed.

My course structure has mixture. Acct is written 100%. Theres assignment 100% and theres mixture of written, assignment and presentation.

Anyway my institute is poorly run, high turn over rate of admin and lecturers. It's like a circus.

I recently found out SUSS master of management got lots of scholarship. Like I'm part of grassroot member, theres like 70% paid for. Caveat is 2 years.

Yeah. Up to 50% for graduate programs. Can be quite competitive, only a very small number of grassroot volunteers will be selected, roughly 1 hand I think.

But there are also other sponsorships, like ntuc, safra, etc.

Yeah, can do your own research. Agree there's NTUC, SAFRA, even your company.
No harm to ask first, my classmates SME sponsored her 50%. Reason was Masters is not required but company willing to support her so 50% "only". Another classmate should be 100%, from big Pharma.

MBA is not difficult but requires lots of effort, time and self discipline. Something that people with family and work commitments will find challenging. Recommend to take earlier in life.

Lastly, I just learnt that in government, you need masters to promote past certain level. This is the general requirement but different agencies are pivoting to skills and leadership than just papers.

Hmm..not really. You don't need masters to promote past certain levels. There are DSs who just have a bachelors only. Many of the high ranking govt officials have master's because they did well in the work, and to reward them, the govt will offer them sponsored master's. This is also partly to bond them for a longer period of time.

I believe all Schools should give both transcript and cert.

Not sure if the employer will see the detail of the transcript. :)

Anyone took the UOL MBA offered by Amity? Just realized their fees increased from $21,999 (2019) to $29,999 (2023)!

Coventry is having a special pricing for nov intake at 16k excl enrolment misc.
Part time is 16 month. Classes are fri night, sat sun 9-6 plus minus. I should be leaning very much towards this, what do u guys think.
City campus and good academic standing, cost is an added incentive.
In the end, did you take up this MBA?
