planned to go Aust to study MBA..but cant decide on which uni will be better recognised in sg..any advise pls?
Thanks.
If finances are not an issue, I would go for Melbourne Business School or UNSW(AGSM). Depending on which state you prefer to live in, these 2 are great choices, albeit more expensive then the rest. With the Aussie Dollar at record levels, fewer international students are choosing Aussie MBAs, opting for the cheaper US, EU and UK MBAs instead. On the flipside, this would also make Aussie MBAs more exclusive. As there will be fewer Aussie MBA holders in the market due to the issue of affordability.

Are you sure? Exclusiveness doesn't gain creditability or reputation, but it could also mean it's not popular or not deem as valued as you have perceived.

An MBA is one of the most sought after degrees in the world because of its value to people in business and administration. I think MBA in IT is suitable for you according to your education. Because Information Technology has created the fastest growing careers. An MBA in Information Technology covers the basics of emerging IT trends. This program provides substantial information technology fundamentals. If you want to get more information on MBA in IT or MBA in other specializations then you may check this link http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/dg-mba-109.aspx

Any kind inputs on MBA awarded by The University of Adelaide conducted by Ngee Ann-Adelaide?

http://www.adelaide.edu.au/sg/future/programs/mba.html

My friend considered between UWA and Adelaide (both Australian group of eight universities)

I think the UWA MBA is better.
I have friends taking it right now.
The UWA MBA director mentioned that UWA MBA is not ranked by Financial Times and Economist because UWA does not have a full time MBA program and is therefore not ranked.

UWA the University itself ranks higher than Adelaide.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think UWA is the highest ranking Australian MBA offered in Singapore right now. It has the advantage of no GMAT requirement compared to US and European universities.

minor differences in ranking is inconsequential...given the volatility and discrepancies of the rankings in general.

Adelaide got a better international reputation than UWA

iirc quite a few rhodes scholars from there... even ong teng cheong and tony tan were from adelaide

Just wonder what is the prospect of doing Master of Accounting from Adelaide?
My NTU friend told me to try financial engineering instead of going into accounting line.

Candidates with an MBA degree in marketing are sure to enjoy excellent career growth in this highly competitive world. Marketing manager, market research analyst, brand manager and new product manager are some of the job profiles available for MBA marketing professionals. Candidates with profound knowledge in finance can also look for the job opportunities available as strategic or market planning executives. From here http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/sd-mba-in-marketing-172.aspx you may get more information on MBA in Marketing.

One of the requirement from AMBA accreditation, is that, the course itself must not be specialized (I was been told by one of the course consultant) in a particular area. Thus, if you see those MBA with specialization in marketing (for example), then, it's unlikely to have AMBA accreditation. Likewise, they also dictate that the course should not be completed in less than 2 years part-time.
