Which mode to use

because i saw my friend same setup is AP mode but he is on Singtel ISP.....

Singtel uses ONRs instead of ONTs, and therefore he’d configure his wireless router in access point mode (disabling the routing functions). The “R” in ONR stands for router. That is, the Singtel-supplied Optical Network Router is, in fact, already handling the routing functions.

Singtel/Whizzcomm is special, cos the ONT itself, happens to be the router also.
So not adviseable to connect another router behind it.
