Usually welded, but rivet simpler to repair (repair ish very rare case though).

much easier to tighten it back, if it starts to come loose

IMHO.
Got 1 wok with side loop handle that is welded - eventually gave way.
Got 1 wok with 3-screw long handle - can find replacement screw and nut.

rarely get the one welded
kinda felt unsafe or having these imaginary wild thots, that it might gave way someday, unexpectedly

worst if while carrying it w/ a load of hot food inside & it happens :/

IMHO.
Welding I think need skill.
I go see car related jack stands on the internet - some comments say something like beware, the welding no good. Wild thots ???

Rivet got hole, can replace with bolt and nut.
