Hi there, my current set up is asus RT ac56s from M1 and bought Tp link extender N300m. Wanted to upgrade this year end but there are lots of choices....

1) I like asus rt ac68 router and rp ac68 extender combo but understand that there is no apps for router model... Check for rt ac68 dual core, what is its speed and ram?

2) Dlink dir 885 and dap1850 combo but dap 1850 physical size is quite big for a plug-in. Have apps for android.

3) Linksys wrt1900 review and performance is good but don't like its design. For linksys, i prefer ea9200 ac3200 design but that is different from the rest. Have apps for android.

4) Tp link archer C9 design footprint is similar to asus rt ac68 but not much review and no mention in this forum. Not sure how is its performance? Can also combo with tp link ac extender. Not sure about apps too.

Current setup have blind spot in my master bedroom even with the N300 extender. An excuse to get ac extender. Living in 120m square 3 bedroom.

There is no need to use android app to access the router. For ASUS we just use the mobile ie and type in 192.168.1.1 then we are able to access it. Why use android app?

den go for either 1st or 3rd choices. Dlink will be your last choices. TP link seems ok. but not sure as compare to 1st and 3rd choice.

Check why dlink last choice? Like it's router colour best. Here.

If choose option 1, then next pc/comex show will hoot. Price to this comex is rt ac68 ($279) and to ac68 ($229) if I'm right.

well I say that is because after looking at starhub user having issues with their dlink router i become kinda want to stay away from it. yes i know its a different model router and this is much better, but what about long term run and its reliability from previous model have made me wanna put them at the last.

Long term run and reliability is hard to say. No one can be sure.

My Asus ac56s kapuh yesterday so now have to source for one, still deciding on Asus ac68($278.00) or Linksys ea9200($299.00). Check how is Linksys software and support compared to Asus? I would like to try Linksys but no sure on this. Any expert care to share?

But from hardware zone, the performance is almost the same. Good point is the extra 5GHz from linksys. Thanks for your feedback.

Bought Asus rt ac68 from challenger. The sale person told me that Linksys Singapore do not have a servicing centre and they have stop importing ea9200. Actually the market is slowing phasing out ac3200 router due to sale reason. For me, just listen and chit chat. Will set up the router tonight.

Your ac56s if still under 3 yrs warranty can claim warranty and use as AP.
