basically not much diff
rog / leg go: windows, can run higher end games at higher fps if u up the tdp (20w+). leg go has a 8.8 screen so it can serve 2x duty as a tablet (u can try on rog but 7 inch is a bit small for windows). rog is more mature but not recommended if u use sd cards ( history of frying them). if u play mostly non steam game and dun mind meddling with windows, this 2 are better.

Steam deck:
If u want a console experience and play mostly steam game , this is almost ps vita like. also u can run games at decent speed (30 fps) at much lower tdp (8-10w, the windows one are roughly 50%-70$ performance here) and have a much better battery life...........

Steam deck. I had ayaneo handheld before but I tell you steam deck is more superior for handheld gaming

windows platform really doesn’t work well with handheld format.

also mousepad on deck actually can allow you to play some non competitive RTS

only thing is if you want play online games steam deck doesn’t allow anti cheat due to OS

Portable? Gaming PC?
No...my dear, a good gaming PC isn't meant to be portable.

ROG Ally + Xreal Pro 2 glasses. For those who say screen too small.

Get a dock , keyboard , mouse and monitor and it is a decent desktop for daily use.

How much u buy those glasses
Around $600 during 11.11. If you buy a non pro version it around $500.

The difference is that pro version have an additional button (Electrochromic Dimming) on the glasses to darken the lense for privacy.

dont look at just specs. look at software. steamdeck performs better at lower watt. it can also run windows. priority for handheld console is battery life. why get asus rog ally for high performance if battery life is less than 2h? might as well play on your pc

steamdeck can run switch games at 5w. older valve games like left 4 dead runs at 3w. you can play at mcd without needing to plug in for a few hours

arch linux doesnt have bloat, so games run better than in windows. also standby works. you can press power button to pause and come back in a few days to continue. doesnt work for windows 11

if you want windows can partition and dual boot. in windows for normal nongaming use can last 8h

Why not just a good desktop and it can power the games while you stream it via steam link or smth on your phone or ipad
