Which Program to use to test if Hard Disk is Ok?

What program can I use to test a new Hard Disk bought online, to check it in case there is any damage to it during its delivery?

CrystalDiskInfo.
It will tell you roughly the device SMART parameters and overall health.
If you want to dig in and do more detailed tests, then I use Parted Magic bootable to boot into their Linux based OS and there is so much stuff to do regarding drive health and stuff. But you probably do not need this unless your device is showing poor health in SMART status.

No, data recovery for failed HDD is not 100%.

Take note before data recovery is best not to try any troubleshooting or
delete/format the partition.
I know some try to troubleshoot like repair Windows or run Chkdsk.

Any changes/error checking tool like Chkdsk data can be lost.
Is best to leave the failed HDD/SSD as it is, try to recover first before
doing any troubleshooting.
