for my own experience, and my use case, i using a 4070 ti zotac amp extreme with its beefy cooler that is the exact same cooler being use by the 4090 zotac amp extreme.

Using my gpu vertical mount in a Hyte Y60 case, the temps when i play csgo ranges about 65 to 71 degree max. If i remove my Hyte Y60 glass panel, the temps of the GPU drop to about 55 to 58 degrees.

Just knowing that potentially it can run cooler irks me up. The hyte y60 glass panel being pretty close to my vertically mounted GPU will cause temps to go up. Should i do anything about it or 65 to 71 degree is still okay?

GPUs operating in that kinda temps is perfectly fine. To me, the bigger problem with the buildup is that it affects your RAM directly and if you have DDR5, it can potentially create issues. Every DDR5 system I've seen with such case already have DDR5 idle temps of close to 40 degrees. With more heat being dumped in the system, once the ram goes to 55-60 degrees you will have varying degrees of instability. But of course it really depends on your system configuration and how temp sensitive your other components are.

I see..I think the rest of components are fine. Cpu temps when gaming is about 60+

For ram I didn't check but no signs of any instability

For most user cases would be okay but some cases really with bad ventilation and accumulated heat can possibly cause this with high end hardware. Just pointing out a reality as DDR5 is much more temp sensitive than DDR4.

not possible to change mounting. cant do the traditional gpu mount cuz the casing back dont have the alignment for the gpu cutouts, its all for vertical haha... unless cut it away.

Or spend $100 to buy another vertical mount that is able to tilt abit..or buy 140mm fans to replace the bottom default 120mm fans haha.

But yea...65 to 71 is still okay i guess. But without the glass panel, the temps are pretty good. This means the zotac amp extreme cooler is doing a good job with its huge ass 3 fan cooler, which is actually being used in the 4090 too. I am sure 4070ti is less hotter than a 4090.

or you can replace the side panel with a ventilated one:

It will alter the beautiful look the hyte y60.. actually if only I bought a smaller 4070ti model. But anyway, 70 degrees is acceptable to me ba.

I might just buy 2 x 140mm pressure fans at the bottom to blow up more air to the gpu. The default hyte y60 fans are lousy.

4090 Ventus quite compact in size, 2nd smaller gpu beside the founder edition.

Any of you guys got issue with the Zotac's software not being able to adjust the RGB lighting? I read online a lot of users have the same complaints. The Lighting tab is dimmed and cannot be activated.
