Still the right choice?

I see the MSI Ventus a fair bit cheaper, any reason why?

Also is it have to give up any chance of buying 4090 FE here in SG at good price?

Few things you need to consider:

1) Price
Cheaper one like MSI Ventus, Zotac one.
The difference is the cooling, higher end model like MSI Suprime have better cooling.
2) Size
RTX 4090 is a big card some cards like Asus Strix require a big case.

So you need to consider especially do you have a big enough case for RTX 4090.
Founder edition locally can't be brought, only way is Amazon.

Good choice either MSI RTX 4090 SUPRIM or Gigabyte RTX 4090 AORUS MASTER.

u want big boy or small boy?... if u are case size sensitive. Some big cases will look funny with smaller 4090s (like FE) or too cramp in "smaller" cases, like with the huge AORUS master.

You can use these two Lian Li casings dynamic evo (black) or air mini (white) as a reference in size.

I would recommend going for the Zotac AMP Extreme. This may probably be the most affordable brand when compared to the likes of Asus, MSI and Gigabyte. Yet, the build quality is comparable and you also get the longest warranty of 5 years if you register the product. Otherwise, most mid range like Gigabyte Gaming OC, Galax SG, etc, are good enough with little compromise. Top end models tend to be overpriced and overbuilt for no good reasons, unless you are some hardcore overclocker.

As to why Ventus is the cheapest, is because it is the budget series. Ventus --> Gaming X Trio --> Suprim X. There will be some deliberate cutback to make the higher end series look more attractive, but generally, you are not going to see a significant difference in performance. The Ventus may run hotter and louder because I am pretty sure MSI will always gimp the cooling solution on the Ventus series.

The cheapest ones uses 14 phase 50A VRM (max power limit 450W, not suitable for overclocking, comes with a three 8-pin to 12vhpwr adapter).
The expensive ones uses 24 (or more) phase 70A VRM (max power limit 600W, comes with a four 8-pin to 12vhpwr adapter).
Nvidia's FE is using 20 phase 70A VRM.

26x NVMEs
8x Sata HDDs
HOF 4090 oc lab plus (require 8 x PCIE 8pin cables just to power up)
SB Zxr + daughter card.

And also to place SG flag on 3dmark scoreboard for world #1 in 10 categories (3975WX + single GPU),
looking like a god damn nuclear b**b is the last thing that matters

Which 4090 to get? many have contributed their valuable inputs.
My advise is to invest reliable power supply made by (Delta, Enhance or even SuperFlower).
Why?
Beacuse 4090 transient spike can go as high as 800W excluding all other system components.

I owned both Suprim X and Strix 4090. Go for Suprim X, smaller in size and able to fit into ITX cases which I am using it with Meshroom. Strix is huge and the price now is like insane.

i am using a small size 4090 windforce v2. used strix 4090 before. not much difference even overclock but mostly is the cooler design that difference mere a few degrees but still manageable as it is within threshold. so dont worry about it.

Most RTX 4090 uses a vapor chamber cooling system, and the size of the heatsink is more or less the same. I don't expect significant differences in temp when comparing most mid to high end models. The budget models like MSI Ventus, are typically gimped on purpose to try to make people pay more for better cooling and build.
