which savings account to go for?

Hi all, planning to setup a joint savings account with gf.. (like every mth deduct 500 from both our account and put inside)

may i know which bank has the best rate for such ?

am considering eMysavings+
Savings Deposit - eMySavings Account + | DBS Bank Singapore

or this

Fixed Monthly Savings Account | Savings Accounts | OCBC

interest rates increases by a bit progressively if u do leave the savings untouched.

every little bit counts imo, we are fighting to save up for house renovations and stuff

Hey there! I think bank interest rates are quite low, probably around 0.05%. Why don't you consider getting saving plans from insurance companies? They have interest rates projected at around 3% as well as bonuses too.

If it's between these 2 accounts, I would choose the esavings+.. Looking at the respective websites, the bank interest rates for that is 3% p.a. from 11 Jan - 25 Jun 2013, and from 1 jul 2013 it will be 1.5% p.a. based on their promotion now. While ocbc the highest is 1% p.a. for 3 years..
