Which state in usa to go ?

HI there everyone, can anyone give me suggestions on which part of USA that is the cheapest and fastest to go from singapore? Which airline etc as i need to go there to open up a bank account for business.

i've been searching but so many states in usa and i'm confused under which airline i should look under as SIA is quite expensive

You have a business in US? Also, check the requirements for opening bank account, you cannot simply open a US bank account just like that, even for business.

Fastest and cheapest sometimes do not mix. Closest one will be Hawaii, however, no commercial non-stop or direct flight. Fastest will be go charter a plane to Hawaii, but will not be cheap, if not can transit like from TPE (China Airlines) or PVG (China Eastern). If not you can try Anchorage, Alaska.

China Southern just slightly less than S$1000. Play around with the dates.

Air China prices from S$10xx to S$12xx.

Delta prices around S$12xx.

Above prices are for SFO and NYC.

China Southern around S$8xx for Vancouver, Canada. Then take the bus or train to Seattle.

Ok thanks for the tips guys.. i checked the flights that you all had mentioned.. looks like there is no direct flights and traveling time is around 20+ hours.. gosh. Can't imagine sitting in the plane for that long ...

Hm, welcome to the club. When I was moving to Singapore several years ago, all my friends/relatives promised to come and visit. Then they checked how much is the flight time and how much it costs. No surprise that nobody came yet.

P.S. As told, you can't open bank account if you are do not US resident - mean you need to have US citizenship, green card or long terms stay visa (for study/work).

There is transit time, on the plane can get around to stretch the leg.
Spend those time EDMW or watch movie or read a book. Time flies.
I use the traveling times to do things I can't normally do on land

Relatives if u stay in touristy NYC or the LA or San Fran maybe they drop in to save $$ on lodging.

i'm a smoker too.. which means i can't smoke for hours. but i'll just have to endure it if i really want to go there i guess. i noticed that some flights land or transit at hong kong. So i'm thinking maybe book a ticket to hongkong stay there a night than next day fly to usa. will the price be much higher this way ?

i went to the west coast in july and it was so amazing, i had so much fun. my air tickets was slightly less than $1500, i took SQ. flight time was around 20 hours plus transit.
