Just like US President can made executive decree to ban Harvard University from accepting international students, US President also have the power to order all US companies to follow US Presidential decree regardless of where they are operating (e.g. IB in SG), which in this case to damage China he can order a freeze of all HK/China equities and assets held in custodian of US companies. Then your equities and assets will be stuck!

I opened an IBKR account after hearing how "good" IBKR is but after doing my own research, I believe if I we invest in Asia's equities and assets (especially HK/China), then using IBKR to transact is too significiant risk to us!

Somehow we seems to hear how "good" IBKR is but never hear the opposite of what is the "risk" using IBKR will have (as though the former are paid advertisements and so must cover up the latter)

not strict for me. I've been below the AUM for many years.

however, apart from their 4mpd visa signature (which non-PB can also apply for), I don't see much benefit with UOB PB.

at the end of the day, lousier the benefits, less strict they are?
