Just buy the hex tube and try if can fit 2 pipes. Only less than $5. Fit through 1 pipe 1st then fit through the other 1. (Need to squeeze, and also depends on the sizing of the hex tube u bought).

Worse come to worse, just fit cold pipe, then blank off the hot pipe outlet. (The metal blank cap can buy from Mr DIY)
need both hot & cold.

I just saw this video on the fixing of mixer faucet. Can also see theirs also have the same big nut with 2 screws. The tap comes in 1 piece. But it did not show whether the big nut need to be tighten by hand or wrench.

jskm , tighten the faucet lock nut from below and he just show tap view nia and few seconds done, means just hand turn??? and half the beedio test connector cui need to replace :s13:

To clarify, you mention you bought box spanner, how do you use the box spanner to loosen the nut when the 2 water pipe/hose is sticking out?
Like what @barbaricboon described. Disconnect both from source, slot one tube through first, try to slot the other through, needed a bit of squeezing but cos it is flexible tube, there is some room for maneuver. Unless your tubes have oversized nuts (which is rare since all these are usually mass production items), it will get in somehow. If can't, you might have to just cut off the tubes and replace with new tubes which is not a bad idea to avoid 2nd job if the old tubes leaks in near future.

There's another way to do this. If your faucet/tap can turn 360 degree without obstruction. Get someone to hold the nut with a tool that can fit into the tight space while you turn the faucet by hand to loosen it manually. You can use this method for installation too.

From the questions ask, it won't be surprising if TS fug things up and break the water supply connectors.
Then it will be a PITA nightmare. :(

Roger. Thanks for the walkthrough.

Will see how it goes.

I went to abc store to check out the box wrench and saw only 44cm ones and the look big enough to slot in the 2 hose so need to measure the hose and nut to confirm.

Seems possible. But I doubt I will employ this method.

yes, u need to off the 2 mini valve n release the 2 flexible pipe using spanner then use screw driver to loosen the 2 screw that is holding the big nut which is the mixer, once done just fix back the new mixer which comes with new pair of flexible pipes :D
Thanks for the confirmation.
How you unscrew the big nut? WIth just hand or need wrench to loosen it?

That is why my method is to ask alot of questions to minimize errors.
I normally plan it as close to it in my head and assemble the required tools for any operation
If I feel the task is beyond me or too tedious, then I will engage someone.
As of now, I likely will go ahead to DIY unless something changes.

But thanks for the warning, I will try to be careful.

Bro, his is the 2 way mixer faceut. 27 n 24 is the 1 way type?
Yeah you are right. The big nut is about 4.5cm.
But if @itangg12 said is correct, I need not get any special wrench but just use hand, and if really tight, I will just use my adjustable wrench to try my best to loosen it.

I just order in lazada a mixer faucet and the connection is only 2 screws without the need for big nut. So I am hoping my current tools is enough.

Strange. Some of those who replied, really don read the posts by others carefully. To fit 2 hoses into a faceut, definitely is much bigger than 24 or 27mm.
TS, hope u don get misled by wrong info. From the youtube video, seems nd to take out the 2 flexi tubes from the top of basin. Meaning u jus unplug the 2 connecting joints at water entry to the 2 tubings, try loosen by unscrew the 2 screws and then the big nut (use box wrench or hand turn or adjustable wrench).
Since u mention is basin sink faceut, shld nt b too difficult.
