Hi all,

I am planning to build my first PC (white theme with RGB effect).
I mainly use it for gaming (NBA2k, Dota2) and some engineering software (CAD & Solidworks).

Parts are as below,

Processor-i5-8600k
MB-Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E
GPU-Galax 1080 HOF
Memory-G.Skill Trident Z 3000 RGB 16GB
SSD-Samsung 960 Evo M.2 250GB
HDD-Seagate Firecuda SSHD 1T
CPU Cooler-NZXT Kraken X52
PSU-Cooler Master V750 Gold
Case Fan-NZXT Aer 120 RGB Starter Kit
Case-NZXT S340 Elite or Corsair 780t

Is this build OK? Any better alternative parts suggestion?
Would appreciate any advice from you guys.:s12:
Still undecided on the case as i preferred 780t design but worry its too big, with so few parts inside gonna look too empty?

Thanks in advance

If you like 780t and has the space for it then go for it. More airflow inside a case is beneficial for all parts too.

With hof 1080 and kraken x52, it's easier to assemble them in this case too.

CPU Cooler - I suggest Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi. Has 5 heatpies, RGB!!! (Need stupid CAM software though, same as x52)

Why Air cooler? Cuz I am salty about my NZXT x62 failing in 8 months...dead pump.

PSU, go with Seasonic Focus Plus 650W or 750W. One of the best, if not best in the industry. 10 years warrenty. All black cables. Fanless mode. even received 9.6 / 10 on JohnnyGuru review.

For the case, I suggest Fractal Design Define C for silence or Fractal Design Meshify C for Air-flow. Tempered Glass side, very compact... so no wasted space. Great Radiator support, up to 240mm on top and 280mm in the front.

Thanks for the input.
Questions.. wouldn't air cooler tend to be more noisy? That's why i go for X52. (but 8 months then dead pump is really too fast i guess, not sure how long is their warranty if I buy from SLS)

Seasonic focus plus looks promising. will definitely consider.

As for case, i am looking to build a white color theme pc :D

Not sure if you're willing to pay for it, Corsair Crystal 570X RGB have a white variant.

Another cheaper one that's pretty good too is NZXT S340 Elite Matte White or Phanteks P400S White or Black/White

Cheapest of all is Tecware Edge TG but the quality of the case don't compliment the build you're having lol
