In the 11/11 sale, I bought a Whitestone Dome Glass from Qoo10. I tried to check the application guide and found it seems to be complicated. I asked the stores on Whitestone Singapore facebook page, and they say if we dont buy the glass from them the application fee is $15. I am considering if I should bring to them or I apply the glass by myself, so I would like to check with you guys about your experience if you have applied this glass for S8/Note 8. Thanks.

I did it myself twice on my s8+, its kinda foolproof, especially the version 2 design without the stupid triangular paper holder.

Anyway, even if you somehow misalign, you still got time to re-align it until you use the UV light...

“Twice” means the 1st attempt failed? :(:(

I pasted two of them on 2 x Note 8.

Indeed is easy to apply.

Make sure the table is level otherwise the glue may run once poured onto the phone screen. That was the advice given by the local seller as this was not mentioned by the instruction videos. And make sure to do it in a dust free environment.

Got user claim the glue went into the pen slot (while it was inserted in the phone) so maybe remove the pen when applying.

How can you find a perfectly level surface? I downloaded some app from playstore and found that there is no surface in my home that is perfectly level, at least it is around +-1 degree, even the floor itself...

I did not say perfectly level. :s22:

Use the tube of glue that came in the package.

Put on the table horizontally and on different directions.

If the tube does not roll, the table is quite level. Good enough.

Thanks, it is really smart to think of such a test. :) Let me take a deep breath and try!

i dont get whats the craze over dome glass
yes it provides the best coverage for curved screen
but the quality of glass used is questionable:
it is thick 0.33mm
it has almost nil oleo, running my fingers over it feels grainy

the glue wont went into the phone meh?

It is why Whitestone Glass is only applicable for water-resistant phones (Samsung S8/S8+/Note 8, iPhone 8/8+/X) :s13: :s13:

Even liquid water cannot go in when we submerge the phone up to 1 meter, how can such a viscous glue go in when just a few drop is spread to the edge? :D :D

The glue is removable?

Yes, once you remove the screen, the glue will stick on the dome glass only and the screen will be perfectly fine. You can take a look at the video below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EBOs_Fntjs&t=1s

By the way, I have applied the Whitestone Dome glass on my phone already. It is undoubly the best screen protector I have ever got!

Not sure if this had been asked to death...

How do you guys deal with the edges of the screen protector collecting dust, lint, etc... :s11: presumably from the glue.

Spent so much on a screen protector just to have it collect dust/lint on a daily basis... really is 1st world problem. :s22:
