prefer cotton...

the dri fit is for serviceman to wear under their uniform...

dry fit for outdoor wear ish better. Dry faster, absorb less moisture, less heavy when wet. Though they need to make it more breathable, with vents under the armpits and side, while offering protection against UV.

The major disadvantage would be fire though. But cotton when soaked ish not going to dry fast. Quick dry blend of cotton & polyester ish amazing, completely wet can dry in 20 mins under the sun.

polyester is basically plastic, trap more heat hor

but cheaper and lighter
