Why did money mind mod close down my Thread?
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/money-mind-210/yeoh-lam-keongs-reasoning-about-resale-hdb-prices-%5Bhdb-lease-extension-proposal%5D-6169953.html
Granted his reason may be that in agreement with me, that answers have been found that Yeoh Lam Keong (ex GIC Economist) reasoning may have been a bit faulty in parts, I wonder why there is any need to end the discussion because it is also educational in most part. (no other threads were so quickly closed down).
Money mind participants hopefully are not just going for get rich quick schemes or are ignorant in economic thoughts.
Threads like the one discussing yeoh Lam keong economic arguments have serious implications on HDB prices (supply/demand).
Or is any discussion of HDB prices a 'state secret' and thus not to be discussed.
I hope the mods will not be so obsessed with self Censorship and also promote responsible investing through forum users achieving higher economic thoughts (more complex thinking etc).
Being more knowledgible will also make money mind participants less susceptible to scams etc.
The article being discussed was originally reported by the straits times btw.
Ps:
Any allegation about the thread being "politically motivated" is also misconstrued since I am actually correcting Yeoh Lam Keong argument, and if any, actually supporting status quo in this case, rather than what Yeoh Lam Keong is doing (rocking the boat). My only concern is the economic arguments used to justify his opinion, not the opinion itself (he is entitled to his, in so far as the opinon is logically constructed and straits times (SPH) should support logical analysis of public opinions--rather than publish untested opinions as fact).
