I can confirm this. I do AI also got problem getting decent offers. Alot call me for interview end up dig info on how to setup and then to low ball me by 50% -70%. Regretted turn down one good offer, now suddenly job opening very dry. Nobody is hiring, instead started to fire ppl.

Why Singkies keep talking about retrenchment while young foreigners are pouring into Singapore for job opportunities. 2 of my foreign interns have converted after graduation. The company knows how to play the game to obtain EP/SP for them. HR knows the loopholes.

Many foreigners are coming to Singapore to look for jobs because jobs are scarce in their own countries. Singapore is the best country in Asia which opens its legs super wide for foreign workers.

Now you know. Too late to stop the flood gate.
