Why govt tax so many things but refuse to tax by qty/ capacity of aircon compressors?

Well edmwers are toxic to proposing any tax to tax others instead of themselves... Just being edmwers... This thread is not alone...another typical one is the famous member proposing new ideas to penalize property agents... What limit them closing one property per quarter. Then can we limit edmwers for working and getting paid only 1 month in every quarter? Let propose that.

I would rather they tax more on those having multiple cars.

Example:
- 1x COE price for first 1 car
- 2x COE price for second car
- 3x COE price for third car
and follow.

One MP did mentioned got 2 cars in household ? Surely they will afford to purchase as it is a NEED to these people or businesses ?

Also tax more COE on those with bigger (6 seaters etc) or conti cars ?

PAP dont want to tax the rich, can imagine those in GCB may have 20+ compressors, really good to tax than them, and the number of cars also, tax like numbers of properties they buy.
Just tax these will no need GST.

Well, u cant be selective in going Green. Unless sg go nuclear, sg is contributing more emissions generating electricity to cool these data centers. By 2030, amdk countries like EU is going to use emission as excuse to tax others.

Anything that uses a lot of power is not green. Best is to just impose carbon tax gao gao instead of being selective about AC.

should also introduce oxygen tax, breathing, living tax by your logical extension? Introduce 200k annual living tax for the old? Introduce pink nric coe ? Also can make ARF and GST insai. 200k coe for pink ic, annually 200k living coe. Also include oxygen tax, as long as u breath, need to tax?
