Can you elaborate on your definition of lag? Stuttering gameplay, choppy movements or loss of fps? Does this issue happens with other games? If it does, it may be worth taking time to work through the installation from scratch.

I would say it’s choppy movement. No loss of FPS. Ok I’ll try other FPS game.

Your cpu is absolutely fine for a game like pubg and should not be the immediate source of lag. If a GTX1070 could run smoothly with i7 2600, there could be other underlying issue with what is causing the lag.

Check if you have programs running in the background which competes for cpu power during gaming. Ensure the latest windows update is installed prior to updating your nvidia driver and avoid selecting beta driver. Report back if you encounter similar issue with other games.

While I agree that the CPU can be the weak link here, I am not convinced that the lag is due to it. Considering that PUBG is not a very graphic intensive game it should not lag that badly.

Perhaps TS can install MSI Afterburner and Riva statistics add in to monitor the FPS. Also try jacking up the graphics as this should reduce CPU bottlenecks.

Lmao. You people ah, better go search i7-2600 1660 benchmark before talking craps ah.

Edit:
If you did DDU and still lag erm, check your ram speed, it might be you hit your ram while taking ram out and the ram running at lower speed

Hi all, I’ve completely reinstalled windows and no more major lag now. A little bit lag if I turn on Ultra graphics but else it’s all sweet now.

Thanks for helping
