Why my 3600 temps so high

CPU: Ryzen5 3600
CPU Cooler: Wraith Prism (The stock for ryzen 7)
GPU: MSI 5700 gaming X
Ram: 16gb 3200 DDr4 Ram
Casing: Lian li TU 150 with 2 corsair fans

Was playing Monster Hunter World where my cpu temps hit sky high, not really sure why.

My GPU temps was good, maxing around 65degree.

Update your bios and drivers to the latest? CPU heatsink tight enuf? what thermal paste u use?

i think it's normal? My cpu runs at ~50 deg at normal usage (surfing web).

Thermal paste, if i rmb correctly should be Arctic MX 4

Not sure if my drivers/ Bios up to date, but should be.

I shall do a check again.

Why is 77 degs high? When you consider that you are using the stock HSF, and this is a 6 core processor, I feel it is expected. Moreover AMD did mentioned they have a lot more sensors to pick up the accurate temps, so do expect to see higher temps.

Wraith prism is the bare minimum cooler for ur cpu and further more these few days the weather is quite humid. I tot mhw is quite cpu intensive 1

if you care about the temp, choose manual OC, limit your CPU volte below 1.2v and set a freq it can run stable, e.g, 3800MHz.

Make sure you installed the Ryzen chipset drivers and selected Ryzen Balanced in Windows Power Plan.

65c is okay for air coolers during gaming, definitely not something to fret over.

I'm on a 9700K, 4.6ghz all core boost, idles at 35 and hits 60c at load using aio, hit 75-80 on air coolers for gaming.

If tested on full load, it goes up to 65c on aio and 90c on air cooling.

Tried intel stock cooler for the lols and hit 100c in 4-5/8 cores in < 10mins lol

TS use fixed vcore 1.35v?
Use hwinfo to monitor the average temps also.

A casing with SOLID front panel at the front choking the air ventilation to only the 2 small slits at the side of the panel. Either ramp up the speeds of the fan or remove the front panel.

GPU has better ventilation at the bottom. That is why temps are as per normal.

The CPU cooler..... you asked for it. It's like a bare minimum cooler. And with Singapore temps, nothing much can be done. Change to a better cooler?

Actually, you'll get better temps with a better casing in this case. So better to prioritize that. Again, if you are not sure what to buy, try removing the front panel of the case and see if temps improve. And by how much. So you can decide if you really need a better case with better airflow at the front to help your CPU.
