Apple controls their hardware with an iron fist too. TS is looking in the direction of a hackintosh too, which is another hurdle to overcome. But if TS plays starcraft II, hey, he's in luck! Besides, Wings of Liberty has just been made free to play by Blizzard! :D:s22:

I saw the thread title and don't know whether to laugh or cry :s13::s13::flash::s21:

well, basically, reiterating what others have said...
- no good game
- hardware-software controlled by Apple
- need to hack to "build" one (i.e. legality issues)

Doable but you have to invest in expensive external GPU with thunderbolt which is expensive and lower gaming performance.

Not real Mac.

Define "real Mac".

I have my PC running MacOS 10.12.6 Sierra with my i7-6850k and my GTX 980Ti fully functional. Does it mean I'm running a 'virtual Mac' and MacOS is so powerful that it can utilise all my PC hardware in a virtual encironment?

Straightforward but not obvious answer.

Apple doesn't support DirectX.

Those games u see appearing on Apple App Store are using OpenGL instead of the usual DirectX.

We will only see more games playable on the MacOS platform if one day Apple decides to buy/beg for DirectX support or a third-party developer manages to come up with a wrapper to run DirectX on MacOS. Only then can we run games off MacOS App Store or off the .dmg installer packages.

A real mac is the Big Mac with curry sauce.
