Do you drive? Reversing is the most efficient way. Have you try doing parallel parking head in? It will not work.

Can work but more steps...head in but reverse and head out again and then normal parallel...this is used for road where very narrow..in china alot of small road can accommodate 1 parallel park and little space ..impossible and limted space for u to go front and then steer reverse in ..ur front will hit curb

If it's a sedan, the bumper will be pulled out when reversing. SUVs have a safer chance of retreating without damage in this scenario.

I've seen VW bumper went across the kerb, safe. When exiting, it was pulled out.
