Why PS4 so cheap?

Hi guys,

My PS4 suddenly died after 4 years of use. I tried to fix it myself - change power supply and tried few things - but still not working. Have to change motherboard which cost $150 and only 3 month extension of warranty.

I managed to see online a few PS4 Pro on sale on Shoppee by some retailers for $250-300! It seems too cheap to be true right? One of the retailers claim apparently Sony giving discount on their prices to sellers in view of "stock clearance". Is this really true? Can I trust them?

Seller willing to vouch this set completely brand new, unopened. Im sure I can inspect before paying. But I'm just wondering what's the catch?

Please advice. My Death Stranding game needs to be played again and I can't be bothered to bring ps4 for repair etc for only 3 month extension of warranty. What if break down again??

Forget it. I think I got my question answered.
I asked about pickup of the ps4 and the seller said they "only do delivery" by post.
Sounds like a scam to me.

yea 250-300+ confirm scam, i went to check and saw those selling at that price, their account was newly created. no way it's that cheap, even the cheapest ps4 pro is 400+

Not so soon, due to covid19 production delayed, unless you able to secure stock even Sony kept in pace to release in december.

And 8 months is not an easy wwait!!!

I broke my ps4 too in the middle of my game (Almost completing my persona 5). Was thinking of getting a ps4 pro too. Not too sure if i should get consider ps5 is coming. But final fantasy and p5r is coming and i dont have a ps4 for that sounds a sad

ps5 most probably will be delay cause of covid, either repair yourself or get a second hand ps4.

ps5 cannot play all ps4 games when launch, according to news, is top 100 ps4 games which i dont know the list
