Good things must wait, dont rush LOTO, but i thought the names should be given within the 7 days after election
I checked past press releases from ELD, it’s seven days from whenever the RO ask the GRC Team to decide.

In the past, he ask few days after GE, then PSP and WP reply next day. This time dk whether RO even ask them yet or if WP delay

Cos of overseas votes need to officially count finish then can declare that wp Tampines team get ncmp
Last election no such problem because the margin between psp West Coast team and next candidate not so small
So most likely next week will hear news alr cos overseas votes counted 10 days after polling day

This time Andre wants it, but WP trying to talking him to give up so can field Eileen and Michael together to have higher chance to take down tampines grc next ge

He won the seat.

It's bad optics for him and WP if he were to give the seat up. LLL could cite her past experience as a reason for giving up the NCMP seat but what good reason does Andre or WP have?

Andre has a baby on the way. Due to high COL, it is hard to manage a family with just a NCMP's salary. I am sure that relates to many. Quite sure that was LLL's main reason as well for her family.

I’m not sure if that’s mathematically true.

On Apr 18, ELD press release https://www.eld.gov.sg/press/2025/Media Release on Overseas Voting for General Election 2025.pdf,
we see that there’s 81 overseas electors in Sembawang West SMC and 641 in Tampines.

If none of Tampines overseas voters vote for WP, WP would get total 47.15%. If all Sembawang West vote for CSJ, he would get 47.0%.

Erm a NCMP is not meant as a full time role...

So most likely is just WP taking their time. RO probably inform them few days ago, then they have up to 7 days from that, so middle of next week deadline?

7 days after RO asks the GRC Team. I think he can ask them anytime, we won’t know when he did that.

2020, 3 days after GE:
“The Returning Officer wrote to the group on 13 July 2020 and asked the group to determine amongst themselves, by 20 July 2020, the two candidates to be declared elected as NCMPs. The group informed the Returning Officer on 14 July 2020 of their decision to nominate Mr Leong Mun Wai and Ms Hazel Poa as the ones to be declared elected as NCMPs.

2015, 4 days after GE:
“The Returning Officer wrote to the group on 15 September 2015 and asked the group to determine amongst themselves, by 22 September 2015, the one to be declared elected as a NCMP. The group informed the Returning Officer on 16 September 2015 of their decision to nominate Mr Leon Perera as the one to be declared elected as NCMP.”

I didn’t do the math. If that’s the case, certainly very interesting why they haven’t arranged for swearing in of parliament yet.

Yes la..but one would want to devote his time on the ncmp role, on top of the party's duties especially WP who has high expectations on their members. They don't have the luxury of state organs to support them.
