I came from Anderson Junior College, 1998-99 batch.
For me, I chose college path because it was cheaper than diploma, even till now if given another chance I'll still choose JC path to save some money.
Singaporean students in most junior colleges and centralised institutes pay subsidised school fees of S$6 and up to S$27 per month for miscellaneous fees. However, independent junior colleges require Singaporean students to pay fees from about S$300 to S$600 per month. Sauce: Wiki
Although I was from JC, most of my friends over the past two decades were from Poly track. I respect polytechnic and ITE graduates, I feel that they are not lousier than JC graduates.

Now that I have crossed 40 years of age, I am still applying for Specialist Diploma courses at our polytechnics, I thank Skillsfuture for helping subsidise my lifelong learning. I have completed some modular coursework and workshops with Republic Polytechnic, and I enjoy learning at their Academy for Continuing Education. Courses at polytechnic are heavily subsidised for Singaporean lifelong learners like me, and I really appreciate it very much.

There is a lot of construction going on in Ang Mo Kio GRC, I heard that they are going to rebuild the entire ASRJC campus. Good la.

For me, I was a fervent believer of the Social University. I did my best to do without a scholarship but instead learn from my Poly and ITE comrades who are much more technically savvy than I was. Even though I did not become the success that my teachers expected of me, I came through with a clearer conscience going through the School of Hard Knocks and graduating with a balanced set of soft skills and STEM knowledges.

go poly also can go local uni
Provide you in the top 1 percent out there. Honestly speaking of poly so easily go local uni like that no body will study JC. Side note look at our PM , Minister even opposition members they all former JC and now earn so much.

Same likewise for lawyer and doctor most of them are formerly JC grads. Lastly look at most CEO in big corporations like banks etc , they also formally JC grad. Of course also need to depend which JC you from.
