its like HDB. last time they put 1 row. then it take up big big corridor,

yep already happened recently. literally sat on me and the guy beside me. want sleep on bus also cannot

Eons ago the bus design no need cater for low entry or low floor requirement, so rast time most of the seat and leg room was above wheel level.
Now is need to take care of elderly and wheelchair people, so the bus low floor, then have to design to fit with the wheels.

The engine placement at the back also means the few back rows of seats need to be elevated
