Hi guys, I'm currently on my Macbook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010, running on Mac OS X 10.8.3. I'm facing a problem with my wifi connectivity. When I click onto the wifi tab on the menu bar, it says "Wi-Fi: No hardware installed".

I've tried different means, such as the resetting of SMC and PRAM, as well as running a hardware test, but to no avail. Anyone faced a similar problem and managed to solve it? Looking forward to the kind assistance, thanks!

My 13" MBP also had the same problem. In the end, the wireless network hardware was replaced under AppleCare.

check under about this mac > more info > system report > wifi and take a look at interfaces. if you don't see a broadcom airport extreme card in there it means that the wifi card is kaput and needs replacing.

Use the recovery disk and do a fresh installation of mountain lion.
