Wifi card alernative

Hi All,
My current computer is using RTL8188CE wifi card (RTL8188EE software) with no bluetooth access. I'm thinking of changing the wifi card to another one with bluetooth and able to detect 5Ghz network. Anyone has any suggestion?

Must check if BIOS got whitelist first, otherwise you change card then cannot boot up.

I'm actually looking at Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 as a replacement.

My router supports both 2.5ghz and 5ghz. Is there a need to get an AC instead of a normal wifi-card with bluetooth feature? Do you guys have other recommended models?

Well, it depends on a lot of factors - in my opinion - an AC-7260 isn’t that expensive to purchase and replace

My suggestion to salvaging a wifi card from an old model is that from experience, even older cards have wifi Bluetooth and even dual band (2.4ghz and 5ghz) on it. That said, some oems impose white lists on the wifi cards that can be used - this means you are restricted to approved models.

Do you have the specific model of your laptop to check?

I'm actually looking at Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 as a replacement.

The brand's called deeq so I'm not sure if you had heard of it before. And I've also did some modification of own so I can only try the Wi-Fi card to see if any issue later.

I have an ac7260 to let go. It's from my dead laptop.

Doesn't play well with my Asus ac88u router too when the laptop died. If you self collect you can have it free tho no guarantee on the condition of the card. Let me salvage the SSD and 1 tb original hard disk first tho .

I own a 2018 gigabyte aero 15. Can't remember the wifi card
