Wifi Exclamation Mark for S8

Hi all,

Not sure if any of you facing this issue, but i realised this is happening for my S8. Been using this mobile for about a month now, and what happens is every night when my hp is in sleep mode, my wifi connection gets the exclamation mark and no more whatsapp/facebook/wechat etc notifications and msgs comes in until i wake my phone.

I have set the wifi connection to always on and restarted my router and S8 countless times, forget and connect the wifi again on both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz channels, and nothing seems to work. Its getting very annoying. Anyone has any solutions? Or should i try and get a replacement from samsung? My wifi at work works perfectly fine.

Check the Wi-Fi settings, whether "Keep Wi-Fi on when sleeping" is on or off.

Hey man i have already set it to "always on when sleep" , but it doesnt work. read online that its supposed to be a problem on with South Korean sets but apparently S8/S8+ users everywhere are facing this issue. would like to find out if anyone else is having this issue here in singapore? any fixes?

If your WiFi is connected but no ip address is issued, you will get the exclamation mark.

U can always go to WiFi settings in phone to see if it's connected..

Try looking at your battery saver settings as well. Disable it and see if it makes a difference!

Just what I was gonna suggest as well. Power saving modes can mess with background data as well
