Will changing processor require formatting?

I'm upgrading to i7-3770K from my 3rd-gen i5 (sadly my mobo can only support 3rd gen Ivy Bridge processors)

My question is, will changing processors require formatting of SSD or SATA?
(paiseh for dumb question, I'm moron when comes to this kinda things)

Your system should continue to work as before. There is no need to reformat HDD or reinstall Windows.

If its only CPU, then it should be plug and play. No need for any reinstallation, unless you changed the motherboard.

last time i changed my motherboard and cpu, lazy ass just plug and play the existing win7.. after a few auto uninstallation and installation, plus a few bsod.. working fine..

If you booted into Safe Mode first, then remove those unwanted drivers, would be able to avoid the BSOD.

ya lor.. so every time i go control panel can see my old motherboard sound chip setting, want remove also cannot cause the files "missing"...
