will changing/replacing/upgrading ram lose hdd memory?
Actually increasing your ram WILL decrease your hdd space.
Why?? Everyone forgot paging file. The paging file is automatically managed by Windows and its directly attributed to the amt of ram you have.
So larger paging file less hdd space.
simi sai.
Disable paging. Who the heck needs paging with today's ridiculous ram sizes.
I run Linux without a swap partition on 4gb memory and have not ran into any memory problems.
And Windows today is much leaner.
