In JB, at least most of the staff are msians. Maybe not from JB, but at least from other msian states. (Although there seem to be more and more burmese and bangladeshi workers)

Go to places like penang, Malacca, all these places all emptying out. All their locals move to KL, SG for better pay, and businesses there struggle to find local workers, and rely a lot on foreign workers. I went to a few zichar stalls, the waiters, the cooks, all indons and burmese.

Its abt salary really, no talents will stay in a place where pay is low. JB now is no diff from Vietnam except it has more malls, unoccupied condos and mosques.
