Will m1 charge $$$$ if change sim card?

Recently, my sim card died on me, phone cannot detect. Swap to a friends sim card, was detetcted so I presume is my sim fault. Will m1 charge me if it's like that?

they say nia. i changed more than 10times in 3months, nothing happen leh. go there say reception not good, say maybe sim card spoil, ask them change.

Mine is a big card and cannot be used on new phone. They asked me to pay $37.45 for a new nano sim card while i can get a new prepaid card $10 or less.
