Not possible, maybe in year 2024+. Doubt many will notice RT in BF5 when they're playing. Just do a double blind test, most people won't even know there's an increased "realism" in action gameplay.
It is also stupid to pay several thousands of dollars to play @ 1080p@60 w/ RT when you can play at native 4K@60+ w/o RT. Crisp and sharp versus blurry on a 4K resolution screen...
The implementation is so bad now that there's plenty of noise introduced by trying to optimize it.
Yes, but not due to hardware itself. Rather, this lack of performance is due to the lack of developer support. Its a necessary 'evil' so to speak, to start the ball rolling on the rtx trend and force developers to develop games that are rtx-centric.
Give it another two years maybe and we'll see naysayers like you singing a different tune when we start getting games that can actually better optimise the RTX tech lol.
@TS no. AMD's shitty gpu cycles and technology is so far behind that they havent even caught up with Nvidia's 10 series yet, with their 590 STILL being weaker than a 1070. It'll take maybe even 5 more years before the amd dinosaurs can come up with a 20 series equivalent card. Idk wtf amd is thinking at this point. Their cards are newer but still clocked so much slower and weaker but at a lousy pricepoint. Is their R&D dept that bad at gpu manufacturing?
I mean, 10 series came out in 2016. It took amd close to three bloody years to come out with SOME consumer cards that could rival the 10 series properly, and yet stuff like the GTX 1080 is still unrivalled.
