For those of you who do not know, the Indian government offers a dual citizenship system called the Overseas Citizenship of India.

So the CECAs can vote for the MIW and retire back in CECAland once they have leeched the Sinkies.

Not sure if they actually check that stringently. Plus India does have that clause that their former citizens can reclaim citizenship once they fufill their Indian residency requirements. Singapore is powerless to stop if they do that. Anyone can see retirement in Singapore isn't feasible also so If you have a back door to go back to a lower cost of living country wouldn't you?

The Overseas Citizenship of India visa is a roundabout way to allow ex-Indians to settle back in India after leeching off their host countries.

The British consider it a dual citizenship program which in all matters it is. The only thing these ex-Indians with OCI passports can't do is to vote in India but who cares about that?

The PAP administration don't give a damn about that - they run the country like a corporation so the more $$ they can dump into that sh*thole called India and hope for some returns, the better for them.
