Will this different ram kits work?

i currently have ddr3 2x4gb 1600mhz 1.5v (gskill ripjaws)

my mobo has 2 black ram slots and 2 blue ram slots

will adding a 4gb ddr3 1600mhz 1.5v work?

using m5a99x evo r2 am3+ mobo

Chances are it will work but will only run in single channel

You will be better off with another 2X4GB to maintain the dual channel.

3X4GB will work with a speed drop due to single channel.

Yes, dual channel
